Winsford Ladies win their opening match in the 2009/2010 season. It was a tough opening match for the Ladies Team, against unknown opposition.
There were a few positives to take away from the match for Winsford, but there were just as many negatives. But it is nothing that can not be rectified at training. Overall, the match was scrappy, with too many stray passes on both sides and our final ball was the reason for Winsford not scoring more than we did.
However, it was a nervous start to Winsford's campaign, a hard fought battle and gutsy performance, to win and take all three points away from Birkenhead.
